SJ 36 SE MARLSTON CUM LACHE C.P. ROUGH HILL

Farmhouse, mid C17, much altered and added to. Brown brick in English
bond and garden wall bond with graded grey slate roofs. The C17
portion comprises the projecting front gable; a wing, right, and a
large wing, rear, were added at or before mid C19. Rectangular brick
chimneys mid C19. The front gable has red sandstone quoins, kneelers,
gable copings, bevelled mullions and transomes and incut bevelled
window surrounds. The C17 windows are bricked up. Mid C19 small-pane
iron casements in nearly flush timber subframes. Modern oak door.
