surround. Spiked dogbars at base. Scrollwork, some with leaf
terminals, at sides and floral and leaf pattern at top of gates.
Square stone piers with recessed corners, projecting moulded plinths
and classical moulded projecting capitals, surmounted by talbot dogs
rampant, bearing shields. The north shield bears a cross; the south
shield a Grosvenor sheaf.
Wing walls (all in yellow sandstone, with consoles to piers) enclose a
deep rectangular grassed forecourt. Rear walls (on plane with gates)
have shaped copings and piers with stone ball finials. Plain stone
side walls to forecourt, with flush copings, open towards Wrexham Road
