Railway platform waiting-room building, c1860. Built for the Great Northern
Railway Company. Brick, iron-framed with timber infill. Single storey. A 5
bay section and a 3 bay section, with 2 open bays between and 2 more open
bays at either end all under a flat projecting wooden roof, with all round
canopy. This canopy is supported on decorative iron brackets. The timber
cladding has dado panels, and above irregularly spaced windows with clerestory
windows above. The end elevations have various 4 panel doors.
