Country house, now a hospital administrative block and 2 flats. Early - mid C18
altered and extended c. 1800 and mid C19, to the north. Ashlar; 'bitumenised'
slate roof, hipped. South block (early - mid C18). 2 storeys and attics in
C20 dormers; moulded cornice and parapet. 5 bays and end pilasters: glazing
bar sash windows with segmental heads, in moulded architraves and moulded cills.
Central 6-panel door in moulded architrave with segmental head; doorcase with
segmental pediment on brackets. The east gable end has a storey bay window.
East elevation. 3 storeys and cellar. 2:1:2 bays. The centre bay is slightly
advanced and is surmounted by a panelled parapet over the cornice; the ground
floor has a bowed entry with Tuscan columns, tall C20 casements and a central
door; balustraded parapet; first floor has glazing bar sash windows in moulded
architraves with a bracketted cornice. The outer bays have canted bay windows
of banded rustication, balustraded parapet; large pane sash windows with moulded
keystone which continue through the plain frieze to the cornice; cill band under
second floor windows.
