Farmhouse. Early C18, with alterations of circa mid C19 and few later alterations. Slatestone rubble with brick and stone dressings. Hipped slate roof with ridge tiles. One stack at the left side, front and rear stack at the right side and rear stack to the rear wing, all with brick shafts.
Plan: Double depth plan, with central entrance and principal room to front left and right, each heated from a stack at the side. There is a room to rear right, heated from a stack at the side, and a rear service wing of one-room plan to left, heated from an end stack.
Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 3-window front. All windows are C19 4-pane sashes with brick segmental arches and brick jambs. Gabled corrugated asbestos porch on wooden posts and 2-panelled door. The left side has three 24-pane sashes at first floor in exposed boxes, of early C18, with thick glazing bars and brick segmental arch. Ground floor has two 2-light 10-pane casements to left and 4-pane sash to right, all with brick segmental arches. The right side has 2-light 6-pane casement to the cellar and single storey rubble shed attached to left. The left side is at lower ground floor level to accomodate the cellar. At the rear, there is a blind end to the service wing. The main range has C19 sash with margin glazing lighting the stair to right. Ground floor has early C18 16-pane light with thick glazing bars to left; first floor left early C18 24-pane sash with thick glazing bars in exposed box. Blocked cellar door with relieving arch to left. The inner side of the wing has C20 lean-to porch with plank door.
