Lantern Cross. C15. Granite. Canopied cross head set on a
chamfered shaft and a slab. Four sides of head filled with
figures. These depict Annunciation scene to north, Bishop to
west, Trinity to South. Crocketted ogee arches to truncated
gable heads, with filled dowel holes indicating the sites of lost
pinnacles. A very fine surviving example of a Cornish lantern
cross, said by Langdon to be "the best in Cornwall".
