Farmhouse including front garden walls and stile. Circa early C19. Stuccoed front,
otherwise granite rubble with granite dressings. Slurried scantle slate half-hipped
roof over main part of house, corrugated asbestos over rear wing. Brick chimneys
over side walls. Rear wing has granite coped gable end, the base of a dressed
granite chimney and C20 brick chimney over.
Plan: L-shaped plan. Double-depth plan house with later-one-room plan service wing
behind the right hand side and an earth closet adjoining the front right-hand corner.
The original house has 2 front rooms flanking an entrance hall leading to stair hall
between 2 service rooms.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3 window south-south-east front with
doorway central to the fenestration. Plinth and first floor sill band. Original
openings. C20 ledged door with overlight. Original 16-pane hornless sash over the
doorway and at first floor right, otherwise windows are horned copies. Reused C17
chamfered lintel over ground floor opening to right-hand side of rear wing.
Interior: Unaltered plan with much of the original structure and joinery including
stairs. C20 doors. Moorstone rubble garden walls surround rectangular garden at the
front. Entrance in right-hand wall is a granite stepped stile.
