Large house of courtyard plan. In building between late C14 and C17. Coursed
rubble with quoins. Welsh slate roofs with projecting stone chimneys.
Crenelation to main (north-east) building. Various multi-light windows with square
heads, hoodmoulds and stone mullions. Substantial remains of Great Hall and kitchen.
Gatehouse virtually intact although lacking roof and floors. Wharton coat of arms
