Cornbarn: mid C18. Coursed squared buff sandstone rubble. Partly
Welsh slate, partly Kerridge stone-slate roof. 2-storey, 4 bay front.
Tall near central cart entrance has projecting lean-to porch. Square
pitch-holes to either side and 2 rectangular door openings below. 2
lines of ventilation slots. Right end bay set back slightly has a now
blocked opening with weak segmental rubble arch and square pitch-hole
above. Flight of stone steps against right gable, to loft.
Both the barn and farmhouse (q.v.) in size and plan belong to the more
prosperous Cheshire Plain and in brick rather than stone.
