Inn, now public house. C18 altered C20. Brick, old tile gabled roof
hipped on east. Plan irregular. 2 storeys and cellar. Chimney on west.
South front:- 3 bays with outer tripartite sash windows with glazing bars
flanking upper 3-pane sash window over 6-panelled central door with 3-pane
rectangular fanlight and flat moulded hood over on cut brackets; secondary
plain door in left hand corner. East front:- 2 hipped gables and 2 bays with
upper sash windows over altered angular bays with C20 sash windows with
glazing bars. C20 extensions to north. B.O.E. (Berkshire) p.311.
