II
Farmhouse. c1725-50. Blue vitrified headers with red brick
dressings, grooved pointing. Tiled roof. Two storeys, cellar and
attics. Three bays with central through stair hall and narrow
service passage under extension of roof. Kitchen extension of
single storey to right, C20. Central 6-panelled door with simple
moulded flat canopy on brackets. Tripartite late C18 or early C19
sashes with red brick quoins and segmental headed openings, 20-pane
sash above door. Flush 4-course plat band of red brick, and cogged
eaves to front. External gable stacks with tumbled offsets, turned
for flues to be axial above ridge. Gables in English bond. Two
hipped dormers to outer bays. To rear, 1 bay wing on left,
probably coeval.
Internally: Fielded panelled doors and close string stair with
square newels. Spine beams with ogee stops.
