Detached house. Late C18 or early C19. Painted stone block or
rendered, slate roof. A long, single-depth cottage which rises
from the Jordan River on its W side, to an entrance front at a
higher level on the E.
The front is in 2 storeys, with 12-pane sashes in flush boxes
and central C19 door to arched fanlight. The left gable end,
with rendered stack, is plain; there is a further small brick
ridge stack towards the right end. At the far end, returning
at right angles, is a small detached rubble 2-storey
'pavilion' with pyramid slated roof, and 12-pane sashes, with
a plank door.
On the river front there are 2 storeys above a high 'basement'
floor, with 3 bays, some with original 12-pane sashes, and, at
a slight angle to the left, a further bay with a small light
at each floor.
