Former Post Office, now shop and office premises. c.1910. Free
Classical. Ashlar fronted. Stone slate roof. 2 storeys. Four
bay central part with slightly projecting wing to left and right, that
to left being wider and surmounted by open segmental pediment, that to
right with open triangular pediment, both continuous with moulded
bracketted eaves cornice with blocking course. The centre part has
round arched entrance with dentilled segmental pediment on huge
fluted brackets. Round arched ground floor windows, one to left
and two to right, with moulded segmental hood mould with large
projecting keystone. Four 2-light 1st floor windows with engaged
colonnettes in reveals and as centre mullion on continuous moulded
sill band. The wing to left has window and door with moulded swept
hood. The window has large key, as before, the doorway has oculus
over with hood and key. 1st floor round arched window with large
key and flanked by smaller lights. The wing to right has slender
ground floor window with swept hood and 1st floor round arched window
with hood, both with large keystone, as before.
