Mill and attached millhouse. Mill late C18-early C19 with chimney of 2nd ΒΌ C19;
house mid C19. Coursed dressed millstone grit. Stone slate roofs. Mill: 2
storeys and attic, 8 bays. 12-paned windows with stone lintels. Door to right
under oblong fanlight with glazing bars and stone lintel. Cill bands to ground
and first floors. Plain gutter brackets. Ashlar coping. Sky-lights. Stack to
right end. Short square chimney in front of bay 2 embedded in single-storey, flat-
roofed engine house which projects from left gable and bays 1-3. House to right:
2 storeys, 3 bays. Flat-faced mullion windows with stone lintels and projecting
cills. Central glazed door and stone lintel flanked by 2-light windows. Single-
light window above door flanked by 2-light windows. Shaped kneeler, ashlar coping
arid stack to right end. The mill was originally a corn and spinning mill and was
water-powered.
