Gabled House. c.1700. Formerly parlour wing to house of 1631 now mostly
demolished. Ashlar, with stone slate roof. Two tall storeys separated by
string course. North front is gabled of 3 bays with large double chamfered
cross windows and a stepped 3-light window in the gable with hoodmould which
has inscribed stops. The left hand ground floor window now door. Left hand
return wall has other cross windows and a tall splayed stair window and lateral
stack with offsets. South front was once identical to north front but now lacks
all mullions and transoms and is sashed, all with glazing bars. To the west the
remainder of the house is being rebuilt (1982) but is excluded from the item.
