Home. Mid C18. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof with coped gables with
kneelers. Double pile plan with 2-span roof. Internal stacks to gables.
Symmetrical front with projecting dressed quoins, window and door surrounds and
band. Two storey central doorway flanked by 3-light flat faced mullioned
windows with same above, one mullion removed from each, the other placed
centrally for casement windows. Above door is date plaque which reads
'RRM 1762', tall window above. Moulded gutter brackets. Rear fenestration
survives intact, though rendered. Long vertical centrally placed staircase
window of 6 lights mullioned and transomed has glazing bars of 8 panes and 6.
To either side are 3-light flat faced mullioned windows to ground and first
floor, with glazing bars of 8 panes. Interior has moulded plaster ceilings and
arch-headed niches. One room at rear has shutters to window with arched keeping
cellar under. Some panelling with large fielded panels survives at first floor
landing.
