II
House, late C18. Hammer-dressed stone and stone slate roof, coped gables with
kneelers. Added on to Well Royd. Single cell front and double pile plan of
2 storeys. Ground floor has 4-light flat facet mullioned window with 2 mullions
removed. Door with monolithic jambs, projecting band. 4-light (2 removed) flat
faced mullioned window and 2-light (one removed) flat facet mullioned window to
first floor. Side gables have been re-faced. The quoins were removed from
Well Royd (q.v.) as join between the two buildings illustrates. Rear has quoins
and 4-light flat faced mullioned window with overlapping head and sill to first
floor.
