(north side), Addingham

2/22 Highfield House

G V II

House. Late C18 or early C19. Ashlar, slate roof. 2 storeys with
basement and attic. 2-room front, double-depth. Plinth. East front
has rusticated quoins, moulded eaves cornice. 3 bays of sashed windows
with raised plain stone surrounds. Tripartite sashes to 1st bay, 2nd
and 3rd bays have 25-paned windows. Underneath 3rd bay window is
basement window. Rear has arched stairwindow with Gothic glasing. Oculus with
central mullion to attic. Coped gable with kneelers. Hipped roof to front.
2 laterial stacks to each side. Left hand return wall is rendered and has doorway
with monolithic jambs with'square light over and cross-glazed, 12-paned sashed
window over the 1st floor.
