Farmhouse probably of C16 origin, timber frame re-cased in C18 with later alterations.
Two-storeys sandstone "bricks". Gable end. Stone slate roof. Four light and 2 light
square mullion, flush framed windows, chamfered internally, some altered. Massive
tie beam in living room on ground floor carried across former inglenook fireplace
and arched over former passage or doorway where it is supported by post. Chamfered
main ceiling beam with stop chamfered joists. On first floor, in original part of
house is a partly exposed massive king post truss. The wall plates are boxed in.
Cellar-cum-dairy partly vaulted, partly roofed, just above ground level to rear.
