Circa 1730-50, a substantial house extending and doubling in size Frizley Old Hall qv
of similar design. Two-storeys, sandstone "brick", ashlar quoins. Stone slate roof
with coped gable ends, corniced chimneys. Stone eaves cornice. The front has four
2 light squared frame square mullioned windows, taller on ground floor, and single
light over doorway. Panelled door with large carved stone shell hood on console
brackets. Rear elevation has similar fenestration and back door with stone cornice
hood on carved brackets. Sophisticated detailing for a house of this period in
Bradford, the shell hood is unique in the area.
