II
Canal bridge. Dated 1833. For the Chesterfield Canal Company. Part-rubble
abutment walls, otherwise red brick with stone voussoirs and copings. Single
span. Quoined jambs and projecting springing stones to chamfered segmental
arch with date on projecting keystone beneath moulded ledge. Wing walls curve
out and terminate at rounded projecting end piers. Coped parapet ramps down
to each side, the southern parapet mostly missing. Isolated structure of
the Chesterfield Canal largely infilled in this parish.
