Archway set in remains of wall, Archway said to be C12. C15 wall.
Magnesian limestone ashlar with narrow red brick to rear of archway. Wall
20 metres long. Slightly pointed archway has remains of one narrow shaft
which continues as roll-moulding round head. Arch flanked by pyramid
finials rises to a pediment under stone coping with cross at apex. Wall of
approximately one metre high with chamfered plinth. Archway reputed to be
from entrance to nearby Chapel demolished in 1873. Wall originally formed
part of range of buildings.
