Office, walls, piers and gates. c1883. Scammell & Collier of Leeds.
Rusticated sandstone with concealed roof and wrought-iron gates. 2-storey,
single bay office with single storey, 3-bay wing to right, gate-piers, gate
and wall to left. Office: plinth. C20 end entrance. Windows: 4-pane sash,
sash window and casements, some with flat lintels and cills. End entrance
to yard behind with pier to left summounted by frieze, cornice and blocking
course. Wall and similar piers to left of office surmounted by wrought-iron
overthrow with 'TADCASTER BREWERY'. Pair of gates with 2 levels of bars
with decorated lance heads and bearing name 'JOHN SMITH'.
