House and shop. c.1830, built as one of a pair (with The Cottage, q.v.). Slobbered
rubble, stone dressings, slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Left hand entrance has
plain surround and moulded hood; former 6-panel door, upper half now glazed. C20
shop front to right. Single window on upper floor to right has plain surround,
projecting sill and sashes. Corbels below eaves cornice are of a similar design to
some used by Rickman at the Church of the Holy Ascension, 1838 (q.v.). Left hand
ridge stack and right hand gable end ridge stack. Interior has fine stone Gothic
Revival fire surround.
