Milestone, probably mid C18. Round headed sandstone monolith, inscribed on
the main face with a pointing hand, and "To Skipton 5 Mile To Gisburn
(obscured)". On the lane side it is incribed "To Settle 11 mile". These
distances appear to be in customary miles: the lane is part of an old
branch road from Long Preston to Keighley.
