metres east of south
gates to Church

Stocks. Possibly C17. Gritstone. 2 pillars with lower rail intact; stone
floorboard wtih 4 recesses. The pillars approximately 1 metre high, square
in section and slightly tapering, with a groove on the inside face; iron
staples on the south face. The stocks were probably moved to this position
when the Garden of Remembrance was laid out in 1950.
