Animal pound, now village amenity mainly used as playground for young
children. Probably late C18 - early C19. Rubble and dressed stone.
Irregular quadrangle in plan. Rubble walls approximately 2 metres in height
internally, with dressed stone quoins at external angles and rounded coping.
In north corner an opening with part rebated reveals for outward-opening
door, with plywood door. The pound is one of the few surviving in
Richmondshire.
