Formerly Independent Chapel, now chapel of ease from Gargrave. Late C17 with C19
and C20 alterations. Rendered rubble, stone dressings, stone slate roof. One
storey, 5 bays. South side: central entrance has chamfered surround, Tudor arched
lintel, plank door with strap hinges. 3 ground floor and 5 windows under eaves
are all double chamfered 2-light mullioned, 3 lights retain leaded panes, rest are
c1985 fixed lights. Eaves modillions. 3 similar windows on north side, right of
centre eaves stack. Remains of blocked east entrance. Gabled vestry at west end,
late C19. Interior: dado panelling. 7 rows of banked box pews at east end, facing
west.
