Farmhouse. Late C17 with late C19 and C20 alterations. Pebbledash, stone
dressings, stone slate roof. Formerly U plan, with courtyard infilled by
continuous outshut. Garden front: 2 storeys, double fronted. Central entrance
has moulded late C17 surround and decorated lintel; late-C19 door. 2-C19 two-light
flat-faced mullioned windows per storey, sashes; continuous hoodmould to ground
floor which indicates the position of 4-C17 windows prior to the C19 alte-
rations. Above entrance is slate sundial dated 1880. Central gabled full dormer
has reset C17 three chamfered mullioned stepped lights; stepped hoodmould.
Kneelers to dormer gable. Gable end and central ridge stacks. Left-hand wing
fronting street contains 3-light chamfered window at ground level and similar
but double chamfered window to upper floor. Interior: central dog-leg staircase,
closed string, turned balusters, grip handrail.
