2 houses, now 1. Late C17, perhaps earlier in origin, with later
alterations. Rubble, artificial stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 first-floor
windows. Quoins. Between third and fourth windows, board door in chamfered
surround, and to its left a 2-light chamfered mullion window, both in a
shallow C20 open porch with pent roof. In first, third and fourth bays, 2-
light double-chamfered mullion windows. In second bay, in former doorway, a
4-light concrete window matching others. First floor: 2-light chamfered
mullion windows. Raised eaves, with late C19 gutter brackets moulded like
corbels. Corniced ashlar stacks at left end and between third and fourth
bays. Interior: in added kitchen, former back door in chamfered round-
arched quoined ashlar surround, perhaps dating from soon after the
Dissolution of Easby Abbey (qv).
