House. Early - mid C18. Coursed rubble, stone slate roof. 2 storeys
formerly with cellar and loft, 2 bays. Plinth. Quoins. Central part-
glazed door under stone lintel. 3-light flat-faced mullion windows in
architraves. Elaborately-shaped kneelers, moulded coping. End stacks.
Rear: 3 bays; 2-light chamfered mullion windows in outer bays, blocked
central cellar window below Venetian landing window in architrave and with
original leaded outer lights. Right return: 6-panel door in chamfered
quoined ashlar surround; to its right, chamfered surround to small opening,
formerly a post box when house served as a post office; chamfered single-
light window in gable. Interior: doors of 6 fielded panels with
L hinges; seats inside all front windows; in ground-floor room to right,
inglenook fireplace with seat along baffle from side entry, and with spice
and salt boxes in rear wall, both with fielded-panel doors; dairy with stone
shelves rear left; stone dogleg staircase with column-on-vase balusters.
