8/84 Usher House,
approximately 8 metres
north-east of farm
building dated 1632

GV II

House, now cow byre. Early-mid C18. Coursed rubble, pantile roof with
stone slates at eaves. 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Plinth. Quoins.
Central board door in ashlar surround with bases. Above it, a small 8-pane
window in dressed stone surround. Other windows formerly 4-pane sashes.
Crudely-shaped kneeler, and ashlar coping to left. Ashlar stacks to left of
door and at right end. Lean-to addition to left, and 2-storey agricultural
range to right, not of special interest. Interior: central staircase leads
off right-hand room and ascends over entrance lobby, being lighted by window
