2 effigies of knights, set upright against north side of garden wall. Late
C13 and early C14. Ashlar. Left-hand effigy of early C14 date, with the
figure of S-shaped form, in chain mail with surcoat, sword and shield. His
legs are crossed, and behind them is a scene of a stag chased by 2 hounds,
with a third biting his shield. Above his head, a cusped and crocketed
canopy. Right-hand effigy of late C13 date, the figure in chain mail with
surcoat, long sword and shield. His hands are folded in prayer, and his
legs are crossed.
