4-pane sash; end stacks. To right, a long range of stables and other
farm buildings with 10 first floor openings. Windows and pitching
doors. The C B Yard was associated with the C B lead smelting mills
which stood behind, and opposite the Yard. The C B Yard is therefore an
important survival of the most significant section of the historic lead-
mining industry in the Swaledale district. It is included partly for
group value with the Old Powder Magazine. The range of single-storey
buildings across the yard, and the former saw-mill behind the lower
range, are not of special interest.
