23/25 The Grange, with
outbuilding, railings
and gate-piers

House and cottage, now a house, with outbuildings, railings and gate-
piers. Dated 1762. Coursed rubble, with ashlar surrounds to openings,
stone slate roof, cast-iron railings. 2 storeys. 3 first floor
windows. 4-pane sashes. Doorway between bays 2 and 3 has jambs with
simple abaci, lintel has panel inscribed ' R '. C20 4-panelled door.

End stacks, and ridge stack between bays 1 and 2. Lower outbuilding on
right of 2 storeys has 1 shuttered window on first floor. Low stone
wall in front of house, and 4 gate-piers of ashlar with diagonal tooling
and pyramidal caps. C19 railings with floriated lance heads alternating
with semi-circular loops.
