House and cottage, now house. Dated 1762. Coursed rubble, stone slate
roof. 2 storeys. 3 first floor windows. Ashlar sandstone surrounds to
openings, sash windows. Main doorway between bays 1 and 2 has inscribed
on lintel '17 D 62', and boarded door. Secondary doorway in right
T D
corner has no surround and C19 6-panelled door. Shaped kneeler, ashlar
coping on left. Stacks at left end and between bays 1 and 2. Interior:
C18 tripartite kitchen fireplace in central room. Built by Rev. Timothy
Dickonson, Vicar of Grinton 1742-83.
