House, formerly the Bell Inn. Late C16 or early C17 with C19
extensions to rear and south-west. Hall range with cross-wing
to north-west, lobby entry. Timber framed and plastered,
painted brick to first floor and plinth. Thatched roofs.
Cross-wing plain tiled. Large red brick stack at junction with
cross-wing with three tall diagonal shafts, side stack to
south-east. Street elevation has three first floor horizontal
sliding sashes and two at ground floor to hall range with
shutters, two similar windows to cross-wing. Boarded door
approached by steps. Interior has one large inglenook hearth
and one sealed hearth; stop chamfered ceiling beams.
