c.1600 of two bays and lobby entry plan with mid C18 service
wing at rent, Timber framed with front wall rebuilt in brick in
C19. At the name time the left hand gable end was cased in
gault brick. Steeply pitched tiled root with original red brick
ridge stack with string course and moulded capping, Two
storeys. Two recessed hung sashes with glazing bars and one
blocked window at first floor, Segmental arches to two similar
windows On either side of doorway, C18 service wing at rear,
Brick, painted, with tiled roof, One storey and attics,
Interior, The inglenook hearth in the front range probably
replaced a larger one on the site, The hearth in the service
wing is original, The framing and particularly the bracing
shows similarities with that at Pepys House, also in Huntingdon
Road. There is an edge halved and bridle butted scarf joint in
the near wall plate.
