Late C16 or possibly earlier timber framed and roughcast
rendered house of three bays and lobby entry plan. In the C18
the bay to the north was cased in brick and the two gabled wings'
to the rear were added. In the late C18 or early C19 a gault
brick extension of one room over a carriageway entry, now
sealed, was added to the south end. Late C18 or early C19
steeply pitched, plain tile roof retaining C17 red brick ridge
stack with recessed panels between shafts. Two storeys. Open
boxing and moulded architraves to four late C18 or early C19
flush frame hung sashes with glazing bars and a two storeyed,
splayed bay of similar date. Two similar sash windows and one
C19 casement at ground floor. A C20 window was inserted in the
former carriageway entry when it was sealed. Early C19 doorcase
to entry opposite stack. Interior. The floor framing of the
centre bays and the hearth were inserted in the C17.
