ST 36 SE LOCKING LOCKING HEAD

4/48 Locking Head Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C17 origins, now mainly early C19. Rendered, double roman
tile roof, raised coped verges. 2 storey and attic, 3 windows; all windows
under long stopped dripmoulds; ground floor has 4 light mullion and transom
multi-pane casements, first floor similar but no transom; central 9 panel door
(top 3 glazed) under flat hood on ornate brackets; attic has single central
gabled dormer with 2 light casement. East end gable has various casements to
all floors; west gable has 2 two light casements to attic and porch to left with
hood as front; rear extension under catslide and further parallel range of
single storey outhouses. Interior; stopped, chamfered beams show in rear.
