On Highdale Hill and reached by a path from Highdale Avenue. The site is that
of the medieval Highdale Chapel. The present farmhouse is probably C17 with C14
origins. Long 2 storey rubble walled farmhouse. Pantile roofs (partly ruined at
time of survey) with end parapets and stone stacks. 5 windows, wood casements of
2 to 5 lights each. Small plain wooden door towards right end. Lower range
containing the so-called Chapel Room is attached at rear. Interior is said to
retain a C14 fireplace.
The date 17.3.75 shall be inserted in the entry.
