Stable, barn and shelter shed forming one range. C17 stable, C18 barn and C19
shelter shed, with later alterations. Stable and barn in mixed rubble, stable
has one pitch of roof pantiled, outer pitch corrugated iron, barn has slate roof,
shelter shed in limestone rubble with brick dressings and double Roman tiled
roof. U-plan, stable to north, barn to east and shelter shed to south. Inner
side of barn has 3 doors with timber lintels, loading door under eaves to right
and small opening with heavy frame and lintel to left; gable end has loading
door with strap hinges. Barn has external steps to large door with segmental
head, ventilation slit to left, gable end to south with owlhole and C20 brick
addition. Shelter shed has inner side with 4 openings with brick sides rising
to eaves level and south elevation with 4 openings with brick piers. North
elevation of stable has no openings, roof in corrugated iron because of bomb
damage during 1939-45 war, gable end of barn has owlhole. East elevation of
barn has central door with stone relieving arch and loading door under eaves to
right. Interior: not accessible.
