Farmhouse. Mid C17, later C17 rear wings, later alterations. Rubble, partly
rendered, brick, pantiled roof with stone gable stacks, some double Roman tiles.
U-plan formed by 2 rear wings, projecting front porch. 2 storeys and 3 windows,
2-storey porch has central C20 door, 2-light casement above with gauged brick
head; to left, ground and first floor 3-light casement with timber lintel and
hood mould, to right ground floor C20 plate-glass window and single light above
with timber lintel and hood mould, at mid-storey to right a small single light in
ovolo-moulded frame with timber lintel and iron stanchion, probably stair light;
attached to right a lower 2-storey addition with 2 C20 plate-glass windows at
ground floor. Right return has gable end of addition with 3-light casement at
ground floor and 2-light at first floor, partly rendered, 2-storey rear wing to
right has large external stack to side. Left return has large long and short
quoins, 2-light attic casement with remains of ovolo mullion and hood mould;
straight joint to lower 2-storey rear wing with door, 2-light casement at ground
floor and under eaves, double Roman tiled roof and brick gable stack. Rear of
main range has C20 lean-to with door and 2 single lights between wings, two
3-light casements under eaves with moulded lintels, to left retaining ovolo
mullions; wing to left has 3-light casement with replaced C20 ovolo mullions and
hood mould at ground floor, plate-glass sash with hood mould in gable end,
similar 3-light casement at inner side ground floor; gable end to right shows
line of C19 roof-raising, lean-to with 6-pane light and door to side, inner side
of wing has 4-light casement with moulded timber lintel at ground floor and
2-light casement under eaves.
Interior: not inspected.
