House. C17 origins, but much remodelled in mid C19. Timber-framed, plaster
rendered and brick with steeply pitched mainly tiled roofs and internal C19
stacks. Plan of two bays with crosswing to left hand. One storey and
attic. One gable dormer. One mid C19 Tudor Gothic casement of three-lights
with chamfered mullions and diamond panes. Gabled porch to entry. Door with
similar mid C19 glazing bars to half-glazed door. Crosswing has another
similar mid C19 casement and above a canted oriel window with hipped, tiled
roof and carved corbel. There are also diamond pane casements. The brick
bay to the right hand was originally a shop, C19-C20. Inside retains shallow
arched openings of the mid-C19 and an opposing rear doorway and door
contemporary with the mid C19 remodelling. The stick baluster, closed string
staircase although possibly repaired is of this period, too.
