15/142 No 12 Pates Farmhouse)

Cottage. C16 origins, altered and added to C17. Timber-framed, plaster
rendered and reed thatched. C17 red brick ridge stack, with rebuilt upper
courses. Three bay plan, now with entry to left hand gable end. One storey
and attic. Three small window openings to front elevation with C20
casements. Interior. Stop-chamfered main beams and fireplace lintel. Smoke
blackening to the rafters suggests a possible earlier origin.
