10/51 Water Mill

II

Undershot water mill, late C18. Restored C20 and now a working
water mill. Timber-framed with C20 cladding to original
weatherboarding and a plain tile roof. Three storeys and a lift
with a lucam. Inside most of the wooden mill machinery was
replaced in 1868 by the firm of W Rawlings whose name is cast in
a plate on the cast-iron upright shaft.
