House and shop, late C17 of two building periods with later
alterations. Local brown brick; steeply pitched slate roof
hipped to west with shallow parapet gable and end stack to east
and rear stack. Two storeys and attic with cellar. Two, first
floor, flush framed, twelve-paned hung sash windows in segmental
arches. Similar window in cambered arch to west of six-panelled
house door with enriched open pedimented wooden doorcase. Shop
to west has two shop windows flanking half-glazed, panelled
double doors with slender pilastered architrave. Band between
floors and plinth to house at right hand. C17 details include
chamfered beams, two-panelled door, casement window with ovolo
mullion, mantel beam to hearth, and cellar.
