House, in 2 builds. Early C18 and early C19, the original house now forming the
service wing of the larger early C19 part. (1) Timber framed, plastered, roofed
with handmade red clay-tiles. 3 bays aligned N-S, with axial stack at S end.
Single storey with attics, gambrel roof. Lean-to extension to E, forming a
catslide roof. Single storey extension to S, the roof half-hipped at the end.
E elevation, 2 C20 casements and 3 gabled dormers, of which one has an C18 2-
light window with diamond leaded wrought iron casements, and the others C20
casements. (2) To the N, large early C19 house, timber framed, plastered, slate
roof. Rectangular plan facing E, with end stacks. 2 storeys with attics. C20
2-storey extension with flat roof to W of junction. C20 conservatory at N end.
E elevation, ground floor. 2 late C19 splayed bays. First floor, 5 early C19
sashes with marginal lights. Attic, 4 early C19 sashes of 6 lights and central
C19 casement. Half-glazed double doors central portico with twinned square
piers. The entrance hall has an elegantly curved staircase, D-shaped in plan,
with rosewood rail, pine stick balusters and scrolled tread ends.
