House. Late C16, altered in C20. Timber framed, plastered with some exposed
imitation framing, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 4 bays facing SE, with
axial stack at left end and rear stack near right end. Rear wing behind right
end, forming an L-plan, and C20 extension in left rear angle. C20 single-storey
lean-to extension at right end. One storey with attics. One C20 splayed bay,
one C20 casement, and 2 more in lean-to dormers, all with diamond leading. C20
door. Traces of old patterned plaster in panels. Imitation framing exposed at
right return. Chamfered beams with lamb's tongue stops. Chamfered mantel beam
with lamb's-tongue-plus-bar stops, large wood-burning hearth. Interrupted
tiebeam construction in internal frame for original first floor doorway, now
blocked.
