Pair of cottages, former house. C15. Timber framed and plastered. Of one
storey and attics with gabled peg tile roof and 4 gabled dormers on front. All
windows are casements with single central horizontal glazing bars. 2 front
doors each with gabled porch with finial on heavy curved brackets. Gable end
stacks at each end and lean-to at rear. Internally the substantial frame is
exposed with wide stud spacing and curved bracing. Halved and bridled scarf
joints and Cl? inserted floor, partly with stop-chamfered joists. At northwest
end is a floored bay with original joists. Former open hall house.
